The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has reported today that there was a coal dust explosion at the We Energies Oak Creek power plant that has injured six workers. The employees reportedly worked for Safeway, a We Energies contractor, and were repairing a pipe where coal dust was known to have gathered. The explosion is being investigated by federal and local authorities. It is unclear at this time who is responsible.
