The Houston Chronicle has reported that Great American Insurance Company is relying on a pollution exclusion in order to deny paying death claims from a building fire that occured in that city: www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6168688.html The defense reportedly is that the deaths, caused by smoke inhalation, were the result of "pollution", for which there is a policy exclusion. Hopefully the court will reject this ridiculous defense and hold "Great American" accountable.
